Tuesday Devotion: In You

God's power has no limit. With a whisper, He can move mountains; with a word, create universes; with one blow, silence hell. Yet we still try to live life on our own, relying on our own strength. Why do we do this?

When we trust in Jesus for salvation, not only is our debt erased, but Christ Himself takes residence within us through the Holy Spirit. Jesus does not just give us life - He is our life!

This is the power of the gospel, leading us to a new approach: less trying, more trusting. This is our only hope for real change. Though we must participate in God's work in our lives, we can never forget it is the indwelling Christ who empowers what we cannot do alone.

Through faith, our lives are immersed in Christ's, and in Him we are forever hidden in God. "Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory." Colossians 3:1-4

Often we rely on our own ability for life on earth, while trusting God for eternal salvation.

But the Jesus who saves us forever also saves us day to day.

The mystery is not Christ and you, but Christ in you!

When facing challenges, pray: "Jesus, I can't do this alone." Admitting our weakness, we breathe in His strength: "But Jesus, I know you can - and you live in me." We walk in the freedom Christ already won, stepping out in obedience as He supplies the needed power.
