Monday Devotion: Focused

Friends, we're swimming in an ocean of endless messages bombarding us from every angle. Our devices buzz and ping with an endless stream of distractions that previous generations couldn't fathom. It's easy to get swept away by the constant noise and miss out on what really matters.

But there's hope! The first believers we read about in Acts 2 found the secret to staying focused despite the schemes of the enemy. How did they do it? By going all in for Jesus. They refused to let anything distract them from pursuing Christ with their whole hearts.

We can follow their example! Ephesians 6 equips us for the fight. When we put on the full armor of God - truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God - we can stand firm. The enemy will do anything to keep us from thriving in relationship with Jesus. He plays dirty and hits below the belt. But we have weapons to fight back!

Friends, this year can be different. With the power of the Holy Spirit, we can be all in for Jesus. No more spiritual apathy - it's time to wake up and give God everything! We must make the choice daily to pursue Christ wholeheartedly, no matter what distractions come.

Together we can walk in the victory and devotion that the first believers lived out. I'm praying for your passion for Jesus to burn hotter than ever this year. You have access to the same power that enabled the Acts 2 church to thrive. Will you go all in with me? With God's strength, we can stay focused on what matters most - pursuing intimacy with our Savior.
