Friday Devotion: Unity

The Holy Spirit descended in Acts to unify God's people, bridging divides between people. When we open our hearts, the Spirit kindles a fire of active love, weaving humanity into a vibrant tapestry that reflects the Creator's glory.

Though we each bear unique threads of identity, we share one fabric - the Imago Dei. Before ascending, Jesus commanded the disciples to carry this Good News of oneness to all peoples. At Pentecost, this vision sparked a movement crossing borders that once seemed impassable.

The Spirit's power knows no limits; He calls each one into the dance of community. Like Paul said, in Christ we find a new identity where "there is neither Jew nor Greek" - only "all one." From the Prophets to Revelation, Scripture urges us: let righteousness and justice flow down like waters, that the dividing walls may come crumbling down.

Imagine if we saw every sister and brother bearing the beauty of God's image. What dreams might we build together? What could a spiritually unified people accomplish in this world? Let's go all in.

“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell together in unity!” - Psalm 133:1
