21 Days of Fasting & Prayer Devotional – Day 14: Shaped

This journey of growth and transformation can be challenging at times, as it requires us to let go of our own plans and desires, and instead, surrender to God's perfect plan.

In embracing this constant change, we open ourselves up to new opportunities, deeper relationships, and a closer walk with God. We learn to trust His guidance and lean on His strength when faced with obstacles and uncertainties. Through these experiences, we discover that the changes God brings about in our lives are ultimately for our own good and His glory.

Just like the potter, God carefully molds us, taking us through the process of refinement. He removes the impurities in our hearts, replacing them with His love, compassion, and grace. We become vessels of His love, ready to pour out onto others. Our lives become a beautiful masterpiece, reflecting God's glory and transforming the world around us.

But it's important to note that change doesn't happen overnight. It's a lifelong process rooted in our willingness to submit to God's will and follow His lead. We must cultivate a heart that is open to change, embracing the challenges and growth that come along the way. As we do, we will experience the fullness of life that God intended for us.

So, let us take this journey of constant change with courage and faith, knowing that God is with us every step of the way. Let us be pliable clay in the Potter's hands, allowing Him to shape us into the masterpiece He created us.

Scriptures

Jeremiah 18:1-6

18:1 The word that came to Jeremiah from the LORD: 2 “Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will let you hear my words.” 3 So I went down to the potter’s house, and there he was working at his wheel. 4 And the vessel he was making of clay was spoiled in the potter’s hand, and he reworked it into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to do.

5 Then the word of the LORD came to me: 6 “O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter has done? declares the LORD. Behold, like the clay in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.
